Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Aesthetic Movement Tray in the Japanese Taste, 1881

Of rectangular from with pointed corners and a spot hammered surface, this outstanding example of Tiffany’s aesthetic movement silver has an applied frog, beetles and  acid etched decoration of an oak branch in the center with an artistic ‘S.R.H.’ monogram. The edge of the tray is folded over in a manner similar to the ‘Lap over Edge’ pattern.

This superb tray measures 17 long and weighs 50 troy ounces. It is in very good antique condition with light scratching to the surface from use.
