Coin Silver Master Butter Knife, c. 1850

Similar to other 'Tuscan' patterns, this lovely master butter knife is designed with a classic handle engraved with the initials 'ECD'.  The shaped blade is engraved with an engine turned wave design and a romantic landscape scene of a house on a lake with mountains in the background.

This coin silver butter knife is only marked by the retailer 'JAMES MIX JR.'. It measures 7.25 inches long, weighs 1.35 troy ounces and is in good/ very good condition with some slight salt stains on the back.
