Bigelow Brothers & Kennard Sterling Silver Buckwheat Pancake Server, c. 1860's

This lovely server, originally used for small pancakes, is designed with a lovely twist handle with flattened top decorated with classical engraving around an 'M.G.M.' monogram.  Stunning circular engraved designs surround a central shield with a deer's head family crest.

This uncommon sterling silver server is marked 'BIGELOW BROS & KENNARD/ 925'. It measures 8 inches long, weighs 2.0 troy ounces and is in good/excellent antique condition.
