Tiffany & Co Repoussť Sterling Silver Water Pitcher, 1870-91

Antique Tiffany & Co Repoussť Sterling Silver Water Pitcher, 1870-91

This wonderful sterling water pitcher is in a classic form with a globular body and a wide, round neck with a slightly flared edge.

Exuberant foliate repousse decoration consists of various leaves, ferns and flowers.  The bold 'C'-scroll handle is also similarly decorated.  The dense execution of the exotic scenery is stunning against the stippled background.
